Since then, he has had the opportunity of accompanying him on many of his travels and thus to shed light on the plight of the oppressed Tibetan people and their endangered culture and religion. For his latest reportage, Bauer traveled with the Dalai Lama through the unparalleled beauty of the Himalayan landscape. The result was a series of up to now unpublished emotional photographs. The Dalai Lama visited Tibetan refugee camps and Buddhist groups to dispense comfort, to conduct religious rituals and to give instructions.
